Q. What are vinyl decals?

A. Vinyl decals are long lasting outdoor stickers that are cut to shape, this eliminates the need for printing inks and background material. Vinyl Decals are also called Computer Cut Decals and Die-Cut Decals. Vinyl Cut Decals create a professional appearance for signs, windows, cars, trucks, boats, industrial & commercial equipment, in fact you can apply vinyl decals to any clean smooth surface, so they are great across many different applications. Vinyl graphics are provided on pre-spaced and pre-masked sheet for a easy, quick and professional application.

Q.  What Colour do I choose for the decal?

A.  The decal is the logo or writing normally represented in the picture as white in colour.  The Black or dark colour in the picture represents your window, or surface you are installing the decal on to.  The decal will not come with a background however if you need a background to cover a blemish or to install it the way you want email us truckgraphics.ie@gmail.com we would be glad to help.

Q. What size is the decal?

A. The measurement you choose from the drop down menu will be the approximate measurement at the longest side of the decal. The alternate side will be proportionate.

Q. What is the decal made of?

A.  We use the finest high quality outdoor automotive grade vinyl, the vinyl is engineered to last for up to 7 years after installation under normal conditions.

Q. How soon should I install my decal after I receive it?

A.  Vinyl by nature can shrink slightly and if exposed to moisture even moisture in the air for extended periods of time, it can cause the adhesive to eventually fail.  Because of these reasons we recommend installing your decal within 14 days of receiving it in the mail.

Q.  Do you stock all items on the website?

A.  Yes and No.  All items on our website are cut to order.  We stock vinyl in a multitude of colours and sizes.  To ensure the best quality and easy installation we do not cut the decals until a order is placed.

Q. How do I remove the stickers if I want to?

A.  Heat the area where the sticker is with a blow dryer and just peel the sticker back off. If there is any sticker adhesive still left on the area just clean it off with window cleaner. If the sticker was on the car paint then just buff the area with car wax.

Q. Can I peel the sticker off and use it again?

A. No, once you’ve applied the sticker you can not use it again. Once the sticker is removed you will have to throw it away.

 

Q. Will the rear window defroster affect the decal?

A. Not at all. Your rear window defroster will not effect your decals.

 

Q. Are the decals weather proof?

Yes, Decals are not affected by rain, hail, snow, salt or hot and cold temperatures.  However, after several years, your decals can fade and crack from the exposure to the sun.

 

Q. Do vinyl decals wash off?

A. No, car washes and pressure washers are safe on decals, but do take care when using high pressure hoses on the edges of the decal.

 

Q. Can the Decals damage my window tint?

No, The vinyl decals are designed to go on the outside of the window, where as window tint is designed for the inside of the window.

 

Q. Do you make custom decals in different sizes?

A. Yes if the size you are looking for is not listed on a particular items listing page, email us truckgraphics.ie@gmail.com and we can make you a custom order or edit the current listing to accommodate the size you need.

Q. Can I install my decal while its cold outside?

A. Decals can last in any climate but we recommend they be applied at outside temperatures between 10 and 20 degrees celcius for best results.

 

Q. Does the rear wiper affect my decal. 

A. Normally NO.  We do recommend that if you install your decal on the rear window in a place where the wiper may go over it, that you wait 48 hours with the car sitting in sunlight for before running the rear wiper.
